January: Hit Reset
- It’s time to look back on last year. Pull out last year’s calendar and think about what went well and where you’d like to see more progress in each department. Ask yourself what you can add more of, repeat and what may need to be cut or where you should pivot.

- Use your data to make a company plan for the year. Ask direct reports to come up with a 12-month plan for the year.
- Preschedule meetings with the department heads and teams each quarter (more or less) for check-ins. Remind them you are available for help and questions.
